About LandedBox

LandedBox is a free service that LEADGOAT LLC launched in 2026, run from an office in Dallas, Texas. Tell us the container you need: we send your request to up to 5 sellers in your region, checked for licensing and insurance, and you compare their quotes. Each model shows a starting price we reset every week.

Who we are

LandedBox is a brand of LEADGOAT LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company. Our team works from an office at 539 W. Commerce St #1964, Dallas, TX 75208, where it reviews requests, chooses and checks the sellers that receive them, and answers questions. That office is where the work gets done, not where containers wait: there’s no yard or showroom at the address.

How we work with sellers

We don’t sell containers or run a yard of our own. When your request comes in, we look for sellers in your region that deal in the size, grade and doors you picked, check that they hold the business licensing and insurance their trade requires, and send your request to up to 5 of them. Each sends you a quote with its delivered price, availability, a date and its terms, and you choose. The seller loads the container at its depot, and a truck, usually a tilt-bed, brings it to your site.

That’s also why no page here says a container is “in stock”: availability is the sellers’, and their quotes confirm it.

How we check prices

The starting price on a model page shows what the container costs that week, before delivery and sales tax. For most models, we note each week what the sellers we track ask online for the same model and grade, container only, and average the cheaper half; offices and modified units follow a rule of their own. The price you’d pay, with trucking and your local sales tax, is the one in the quote you accept. Both methods and this week’s table are on our shipping container prices page.

What you can ask for

  • 20ft and 40ft containers, new (one-trip) or used, in standard height or high cube, plus 8ft, 10ft, 45ft and 53ft sizes; a model without a weekly price, like a used 10ft or a new 53ft, is quoted on request: all shipping containers.
  • Double-door and open-side models, new: listed with the new containers.
  • Refrigerated containers, new and used: reefers.
  • Offices and modified containers, insulated, with an A/C or a roll-up door: modified containers.
  • Accessories such as lock boxes, locks, vents and leveling kits: accessories.
  • Rentals and rent-to-own: container rental.

How it works for you

A request is free and doesn’t bind you. Up to 5 sellers send you their quotes, each with a delivered price, a date and its terms; on the same request, the highest and lowest quotes have differed by about $450 on average. You accept one or none, inspect the container on arrival and pay the seller as its quote sets out. Step by step in how to buy a shipping container; guarantee, refusal and cancellation: what to check in a quote.

What we don’t do

  • Selling or delivering containers. The seller you choose does that; we don’t take payments.
  • Visits or showings. Our office holds no containers; ask a seller whether you can see yours before delivery.
  • Photos of your exact unit. Images on this site are illustrative; the grade in a seller’s quote is what it answers for.
  • Alaska and Hawaii. We take requests for the 48 contiguous states only.
  • Financing. We don’t lend money, and payment terms are the seller’s; to spread the cost over months, ask for rent-to-own.

Checking who you’re dealing with

Before buying from any container seller, make sure it is who it says it is. LandedBox is run by LEADGOAT LLC, at the Dallas address above, and never asks you for money; before a seller receives requests from us, we check its business licensing and insurance.
